Sorry to everyone that has been waiting on our responses. Starting this weekend, the admins are going to meet in a chatzy every week to discuss apps, questions, anything that we want to get each other’s input on. As soon as everything has been discussed, we will be sending out our final decisions. Please be patient with us as we continue to figure out the best ways to keep this rp up and running and awesome.
Emily: Yes, we’d be willing to do that. We’re quiet partial to Luke, but we’re not opposed to Josh.
Emily: Yes you may! We have many original characters in the roleplay. There’s a section of the application page that tells you how to do that.
Kay: Depends on the char and the fc. We’re definitely willing to consider changes.

Derek Day | Adam Brody | Nineteen | Social | Open
Background:
Derek comes from new money. His family just moved to Tulsa in recent years after their eldest daughter died in a car accident caused by a drunk Greaser. Though they’ve only just arrived, they have made quite a name for themselves. They go to all of the Social events, brunches, and charity balls. Derek’s parents have put him on the high road to success and they will accept nothing less. His parents used to play favorites with Derek’s sister before she died and now, as a second choice, they’ve moved their sights to Derek.
Personality:
Derek is a mousy boy and the Social stoner. He loves to get high with friends and cares for little besides the ‘good things’ in life, as he calls them. Derek got addicted to marijuana after his sister died. His main interest lie in drugs and girls. He loves to joke around and can always be seen with a dopey smile on his face. Deep down, he does have a hatred towards the Greasers because of what happened to his sister, but the real reason why he is prejudice towards them is because of peer pressure. Since drugs rule his life, he rarely thinks for himself. Often, it’s other people making the decisions for him, and since all of his friends hate the Greasers, he can be found smashing up their mailboxes like the rest of the Socials. Derek’s parents relentlessly hound him about what he’s going to do with his life and are pushing him to be a lawyer. However, Derek only has his sights set on the present. His only wish is that everyone would just sit back, smoke a couple, and let the good times roll.

Annual Tulsa Carnival - May 20th-24th, 1968
Pie Eating Contest: Think you can eat more pies than your friends? Then be on the fairground at 5 pm Monday or Wednesday for some homemade apple pie.
Rides: Time for some good ol’ fashion fun. Enjoy the many rides the carnival has to offer including Bumper Cars, Pirate Ship, Tilt-A-Whirl, and of course everyone’s favorite the Ferris Wheel.
Games: There’s always more fun to be had. Come play the strongman game, ring toss, skee ball, and much more. And of course there’s always prizes to be had: stuffed animals, candy, and even live goldfish.
Food: A carnival would not be complete without food. There will be hot dogs, corn dogs, kettle corn, funnel cakes, and more.
Talent Show: To end the carnival in style, there will be a town-wide talent show. Anyone can enter. Sign up anytime throughout the week at the designated booth. The talent show will be Friday at 8pm. (For those who want to participate in the talent show. You can just write a self-para about your char performing the talent or para with another person.)
(Keep in mind, this carnival is for both sides. *Hint hint* a good way to explore the rivalry. Maybe a fight or two or some heated conversations. Also if you have a carnival ride idea I didn’t mention or a food you want them to eat, feel free to rp it out as long as it was invented before or in 1968)

Ricky Jacobs | Tyler Hoechlin | Eighteen | Greaser | Open
Background:
When Tulsa thinks of Greaser brotherhood, two names that would be one of the first to come to mind is Ricky and Dean. Best of friends since they were in the sandbox. They were ruthless and troublesome. They spent many a night in juvie together. Wherever one had a problem or needed a place to stay, the other would be there with open arms. When Dean moved to the West Side, Ricky was determined to keep their friendship going. Constantly telling him ‘One more year, my man, one more year and you’ll come back to the East Side where you belong’. That night of the rumble, he knew something was off. He tried to give him a nod before it started like they always did but Dean wouldn’t look at him and he’ll never forget the smirk on Hunter Finn’s face. The rumble began and he turned away from Dean as he heard Rodney shouting encouragement at his Greasers. That’s when he felt a sharp pain in his back and turned to see the face of his best friend. He still has problems with his back months later and every time he feels the pain, he thinks of the betrayal.
Personality:
Ricky is one of those Greasers you don’t want to meet in an alley alone. He has no qualms about taking down Socs, man or woman. He wants his terroritory clear of Socs. He was raised by only his father and therefore is all man. A romantic side? He doesn’t have one. A sensitive side? Look somewhere else.

Dean Trucco | Nico Tortorella | Eighteen | Social (Former Greaser) | Open
Background:
When Tulsa thinks of Greaser brotherhood, two names that would be one of the first to come to mind is Dean and Ricky. Best of friends since they were in the sandbox. They were ruthless and troublesome. They spent many a night in juvie together. Wherever one had a problem or needed a place to stay, the other would be there with open arms. But things changed when Dean’s whore of a mother fell in love with one of her Soc clients, straightened out of her life, and got married. They moved to the West Side. Dean promised Ricky that they’d still be friends but the pressure and money got to his head. When Hunter Finn asked Dean to prove his loyalty to the Socs, he stabbed his friend in the back both figuratively and literally. During a rumble, Dean took a knife and stabbed him barely missing the spinal cord and vital organs. There’s no going back from that. Now, Dean and Ricky are the symbols are the rivalry. Dean is everything Ricky hates on the Soc side and Ricky is everything Dean hates on the Greaser side. Love lost. A warning to those who think they can beat the system.
Personality:
Dean is cocky and fierce but easily swayed by peer pressure. Everyone knows of his Greaser roots so he is constantly proving to them that he is just as much of a Soc as they are and deserves to be on the West side.
